How to use Ford Blue Advantage coverage
Updated Oct 23, 2026
Part of the Ford Blue Advantage guide at Swant Graber Ford. Shop certified inventory.
Ford Blue Advantage warranties are backed by Ford Motor Company, so repairs go through a Ford dealer's service department. Keep your bill of sale and warranty paperwork; they show the tier, start date and end date and miles. Roadside is 24/7 for 7 years on Gold and 90 days on Blue. A return under the Money Back Guarantee goes to the dealer that sold you the vehicle, within 14 days or 1,000 miles.
Warranty repair, step by step
- Find your tier and end dates on the warranty paperwork from the sale.
- Call a Ford dealer service department, such as Swant Graber Ford service at 715-537-9500, and say the vehicle is Ford Blue Advantage certified.
- Describe the symptom; the dealer diagnoses whether the failed part is covered under the comprehensive or (Gold) powertrain limited warranty.
- Ask before work begins whether any deductible or non-covered item applies; Ford's public pages don't state a deductible, so the booklet governs.
- Keep every repair order.
Roadside, step by step
- Use the roadside number in your warranty materials or Ford's owner channels.
- Covered: flat tire, jump start, lockout (up to $50), fuel delivery (up to two gallons), towing (up to $100).
- More than 100 miles from home: travel expenses up to $1,000 for lodging, meals and rental, up to five days; keep receipts.
Returning the vehicle (14 days / 1,000 miles)
Bring it back to the selling dealer within 14 days or 1,000 miles of the bill-of-sale date and mileage, in the condition sold, with no accident or new lien. You get back the price paid; negative equity stays with you and a trade-in is not returned. One return per six months at any Ford dealer.
Selling it privately later
Ford says the limited warranty transfers to future owners at no cost. Give the buyer the warranty paperwork and the repair orders; remaining coverage is a selling point.
