Short answer: Every 2027 Traverse seats 7 with second-row captain's chairs. The LT can be ordered as an 8-seater with a 2-3-3 bench at no cost. Cargo is 22.9 cu ft behind row three, 56.6 behind row two and 97.6 with both folded.

Captain's chairs or bench?
- Captain's chairs: walk-through to row three and SmartSlide access; two big seats for older kids who'd rather not touch.
- Bench (LT only): room for a third car seat in row two, or 8 total for carpool and hockey practice.
- Third-row access: the passenger-side second-row seat slides forward with one lever; the 60/40 third row folds flat.
