2026 vs 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer: what changed

By Cory Gunderson, Internet Sales & Finance Manager, Swant Graber Chevrolet, 1690 E Division Ave, Barron WI · 715-537-5657

Three Trailblazers in one buying season

Right now you can buy a 2026 (in stock), order a 2027 Trailblazer Limited (same design as 2026: LS, LT, RS, ACTIV), or reserve the refreshed 2027 (LT, RS, new Z71) due late spring 2027.

2026 vs 2027 Limited

Essentially the same vehicle: 1.2L/1.3L turbo 3-cylinders, CVT on FWD and 9-speed on AWD, 11-inch screen and 8-inch cluster, 25.3/54.4 cu ft cargo, 1,000-lb towing. chevrolet.com lists the Limited from $23,600 (LS), $24,800 (LT), $28,200 (RS). The main reasons to pick a 2026: it's on the lot and may carry year-end incentives.

What the refreshed 2027 changes

  • 1.3L 155 hp standard on every trim (no 1.2L)
  • Larger 11.3-inch touchscreen and 11-inch cluster, Google built-in with Gemini
  • Adaptive cruise and park assist standard
  • New Z71 (AWD, skid plate, sport-terrain tires) replaces ACTIV; LS dropped
  • Rear-seat air vents; new styling
  • Starts at $25,500 (LT); Z71 $30,400 — full RS pricing and transmission details not yet published

Feature availability varies by year, trim and package — confirm on the window sticker / chevrolet.com.

Questions

Is the 2027 Trailblazer different from the 2026?

The 2027 Limited is the same as the 2026; the refreshed 2027 arriving late spring 2027 adds the 1.3L standard, bigger screens, standard adaptive cruise and the Z71.

Should I wait for the new 2027 Trailblazer?

Wait if you want standard adaptive cruise, the larger screens or the Z71; buy a 2026 or Limited if price and availability matter most.
