2026 vs. 2027 Tahoe and Suburban: what changed
The 2027 Tahoe and Suburban carry over the 2025 refresh's design, engines and EPA ratings; Chevrolet's 2027 pages add Super Cruise availability with the 3.0L Duramax and list heated and ventilated front seats on RST.
- Super Cruise with trailering is now available with the 3.0L Duramax diesel, per chevrolet.com.
- RST: heated and ventilated perforated-leather front seats (chevrolet.com lists them on RST, Premier and High Country).
- EPA ratings are unchanged from 2026.
- Order-guide details (packages, colors) are summarized in our conflicts log until we confirm them from GM's 2027 order guide.
Used Tahoe and Suburban: generations and years to target
The current generation was all-new for 2021, bringing an independent rear suspension, far more third-row room and the first 3.0L Duramax; the 2025 refresh added the 17.7-inch screen and a stronger 305-hp diesel, so 2025–2026 is the late-model sweet spot and 2021–2024 is the value buy.
| Years | What to know |
|---|---|
| 2021–2024 | All-new generation: independent rear suspension, 66% more cargo room behind the third row (Tahoe), 10.2" touchscreen, 3.0L Duramax (277 hp). |
| 2025–2026 | Refresh: 17.7" touchscreen, new styling, 305-hp / 495 lb-ft Duramax, Z71 diesel available. |
| 2027 | Carryover with package changes. |
