Ford Super Duty order codes explained: 600A to 773A
Decode any Super Duty window sticker or listing: what 603A, 613A and 623A mean, every major package code with its 2027 price, the capability codes towing buyers ask about, and what the VIN tells you.
Short answer
How to read a Super Duty order code
The first two digits name the model: 60 F-250, 61 F-350 single rear wheel, 62 F-350 dually, 67 F-450. The third digit is the trim: 0 XL, 3 XLT, 8 Lariat. King Ranch and Platinum use the 700 series: 70, 71, 72 and 77, with 0 for King Ranch and 3 for Platinum.[1][2]
So 613A is an F-350 SRW XLT, 628A is an F-350 dually Lariat and 773A is an F-450 Platinum.

Ordering a Super Duty with the right codes
1. Pick the model and cab
F-250, F-350 SRW, F-350 DRW or F-450, then Regular Cab, SuperCab or Crew Cab and the box length. Which model do you need?
2. Pick the engine and axle
7.3L gas or 6.7L High Output diesel, then the axle ratio your towing needs. Gas vs diesel
3. Add the codes
Trim group, packages and capability codes. We check every requirement, for example 874 needs 96D on an XL, so the order goes through the first time.
4. Place the order

Frequently asked questions
What does 603A mean on a Ford Super Duty?
603A is the equipment group for an F-250 XLT. The first two digits give the model (60 = F-250) and the third gives the trim (3 = XLT). The A is the equipment group letter.
What is the difference between 613A and 623A?
Both are F-350 XLTs. 613A is the single-rear-wheel F-350 and 623A is the dual-rear-wheel F-350 (dually).
What do 700A and 703A mean?
King Ranch and Platinum use 700-series codes. 700A is an F-250 King Ranch and 703A is an F-250 Platinum; 710A/713A are F-350 SRW, 720A/723A are F-350 DRW, and 770A/773A are F-450.
Where do I find the order code?
On the window sticker it's printed on the trim line, for example "XLT F-350 SRW (613A)". It also appears in the option list on our vehicle pages and in most online listings.
Can I tell gas from diesel by the VIN?
On the 2027 Super Duty pickups we have stocked, the 8th character of the VIN is N for the 7.3L gas and M for the 6.7L High Output diesel. The window sticker is the sure way to check.
What are Ford U-codes on a Super Duty sticker?
U-codes are Ford package discounts applied automatically when certain packages are ordered together, for example U15 takes $250 off when XLT Premium (17P) and the Carhartt Package (17R) are on the same truck.
Is 535 worth it on an F-250?
Only if you need the F-250 diesel's highest tow ratings. Ford's top F-250 diesel numbers, 22,000 lb conventional and 23,000 lb gooseneck, require the High-Capacity Axle Upgrade. If you tow that much often, also look at an F-350.
