The fair's schedule lists events such as the junior livestock auction, grandstand shows like the demolition derby and truck and tractor pull, and harness racing, which the Chronotype reported was canceled on both 2026 race days because of heat and hazardous air quality. Fair office: 715-736-FAIR.
In the City of Barron
The City of Barron lists Music in the Park on the second and fourth Wednesdays of June, July and August in Anderson Park, 6 to 8 p.m., free, with food available from 5:30. Its festivals page also lists the Barron Area Chamber of Commerce's City of Lights holiday display, along Highway 8 and LaSalle Avenue, and a Business and Industry Appreciation Day.
Farm 'n Feather Fest is back
The Barron News-Shield reported (Aug 26, 2026) that Farm 'n Feather Fest returned Sept 10–13, 2026, under the theme "Rebuilding the Tradition," after a 25-year run that ended in 2004. The first fest was June 22–24, 1979. The 2026 schedule included a Barron Chamber of Commerce tasting at The Church Barn, a Maple Grove Fire Department tri-tip feed, a pie-eating contest and live music, and on Sunday the Barron Car & Craft Show hosted by the Past Reflections Car Club. The City of Barron Common Council approved the official festival committee on Aug 11. The paper also notes Barron was once known as "Butter City" for the Barron Cooperative Creamery.
Barron County Truck Show and Light Parade
Per the Rice Lake Chronotype (Sept 22, 2026), the two-day Barron County Truck Show began in 2020 to raise money for a family or individual in need and is held at the end of September at the Barron County Fairgrounds. The 2026 Light Parade on Saturday, Sept 26 left the fairgrounds, came through Barron around 7:30–7:45 p.m., continued east to Cameron and returned to Rice Lake's Main Street at about 9 p.m.
