Trax engine, mpg and towing
Every Trax uses a 1.2L turbo three-cylinder (137 hp, 162 lb-ft) with a 6-speed automatic and FWD, rated by the EPA at 28/31/29 mpg; Chevrolet says the Trax isn't rated to tow, though it can be flat-towed behind a motorhome.

2026 vs. 2027 Trax
Chevrolet's preview says the 2027 Trax arrives in spring 2027 with a new design, a three-model lineup (LT, RS, ACTIV), an 11.3-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch driver display and Google built-in with Gemini; the 2026 Trax remains the current model at Swant Graber Motors.
