Short answer: The 2027 Ford Mustang carries over the seventh-generation S650 car. Ford has confirmed a Dark Horse SC Convertible (orders fall 2026, arrivals from spring 2027) and another GTD run; it hadn't announced changes or pricing for the EcoBoost, GT or Dark Horse as of October 31, 2026.
2026 prices are Ford MSRP before the $1,995 destination charge (Ford 2026 price list, Apr 2026). Ford had not published 2027 Mustang pricing as of October 31, 2026.

Dark Horse SC Convertible
The supercharged 5.2L V8 Dark Horse SC, offered as a coupe for 2026 at $103,490 with a 7-speed dual-clutch, adds a convertible body. Ford hadn't published its price when we wrote this.
Should you buy a 2026 or wait for 2027?
- Buy a 2026 if you want an EcoBoost, GT or Dark Horse now — equipment and price are a known quantity, and late-2026 Job 2 builds already added Avalanche Gray and the RTR Package (fastback).
- Wait if you specifically want the Dark Horse SC Convertible, or you'd rather see Ford's 2027 order guide first.
- Summer car? Many Barron-area buyers shop over the winter and take delivery in spring — it lines up with storage season.
