Ram's 2026 site listed the Tradesman at $45,995 (2500) and $47,195 (3500).

2500 or 3500?
Good fits
- Your trailer is a big fifth wheel or gooseneck: a 3500 with the Cummins, and dual rear wheels if the payload math needs them
- You plow and haul a skid steer: a 2500 or 3500 with the HEMI can carry more payload than the same truck with the diesel
- You want an off-road HD: Power Wagon (now with the Cummins) or Rebel
Consider something else if
- Your trailer is under about 10,000 lb and you don't carry heavy loads: a Ram 1500 may do it for less
- You need a work body or cab-chassis: ask about Ram Chassis Cab
Questions
How much can a 2027 Ram 3500 tow?
Ram's 2027 announcement lists up to 37,020 lb (preliminary) for a 3500 with the 6.7L Cummins High Output, properly equipped. The 2026 figure on ramtrucks.com is 36,610 lb.
Is the Cummins worth $12,995?
It was $12,995 on every heavy-duty Ram sticker in our stock. If you tow heavy often or tow at high altitude, the torque helps; if you mostly plow and haul, the HEMI's payload advantage (up to 7,580 lb on a 3500) may matter more. Bring your trailer weights and we'll run the numbers.
What is a Mega Cab?
Ram's largest heavy-duty cab, offered with a 6-ft 4-in bed and 4x4 only for 2027.
